Congratulations to Fatimah Asghar, whose poem, “For Jonylah Watkins, Who Was Shot 5 Times While Her Father Was Changing Her Diaper,” was a finalist for the 2014 “Best of the Net Anthology.” We’re proud to have published that poem, along with four other equally excellent poems. Read them here if you missed them the first time around

Fatimah is an exemplar of the type of poet Radius seeks, one who crafts poems that have a tangible life in the real world, that speak to the pain and heartbreak between us all with unflinching honesty. The accolades are nice, but for us, the privilege is getting to share a poem like that with the world. We’re just glad other people saw what we did.
