Poem by Rafael F.J. Alvarado

For Scott Wannberg
By Rafael F.J. Alvarado

At sometime this morning the world stopped dancing
Not sure what time it was
But it did
If there is a heaven
Saint Peter is dancing
To the sounds of Scott’s word
The world
Hasn’t produce that many humans
Scott was human
No one could sing John Prine like Scott

No one knew what Scott knew
there is no moment of silence for Scott
Scott was an ocean full of song
The world never knows what it has
The world is a sad place
That is sadder now
As it stops dancing
As the only dancer
Who heard what the world needed to hear
Stopped dancing today
